Pastor Vanessa Storlie
A native of southcentral Minnesota, Pastor Vanessa Storlie made her way to southcentral Pennsylvania in 2009 after graduating with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming. She spent nearly 11 years working as a structural engineer designing new bridges, evaluating existing bridges, and doing research that improved the current bridge design and evaluation codes. In 2017, after a year-long “Jonah-in-the-belly-of-a-fish moment,” she finally acknowledged God’s call and began the ELCA candidacy process. Vanessa attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN as a distributed learning student beginning in Fall 2018. She completed clinical pastoral education at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital and her internship at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Easton, PA under the supervision of the Rev. Susan Ruggles. She graduated with her Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in August 2023. She was called to as Luther Memorial’s next pastor on November 5, 2023, and was ordained on December 3, 2023.
Her passions include bridging gaps between people with needs and resources that can help meet those needs, sharing God’s love with the least, the last, and the lost, and helping people find where their passion meets the world’s need.

Patricia Potter is new to Luther Memorial and has been the Administrative Assistant since March 2024. You might recognize Pat from her years working in the office at Spring Garden Township. Charles D. Kress joined our staff in March 2019 and serves as Sexton.
WORSHIP BROADCAST
Emily Morris has been doing the weekly broadcast worship on Zoom and Facebook Live since July 2023.
