On Sunday, September 14, Luther Memorial Church gathered to celebrate our 75th Anniversary. The celebration started with joyful worship led by Pastor Vanessa Storlie, Pastor Joseph Vought (son of Luther Memorial Church's fifth pastor, Rev. John Vought), and Lower Susquehanna Synod Bishop Reverend Stephen Herr. Bishop Herr shared the good news of Jesus Christ with us. Following worship there was a time of fellowship with cake and punch.
In the afternoon, Luther Memorial Church hosted a block party for the community that included free food, face-painting, rock & pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, fire trucks, and yard games. We were also excited to welcome the York Revolution's DownTown who handed out free tickets to the upcoming Revs game. DownTown also played a duet with Luther Memorial's organist, Richard George, on the piano.
